South Korea Vaping News: The Demand For Heat No Burn Increased By 21.3% The Sales Of Cigarettes decreased by 1.8%

According to the Korean Herald, the Ministry of Finance said that the sales of cigarettes in South Korea in 2022 increased by 1.1% compared with the previous year.
The Ministry of Finance of South Korea said that despite the government’s anti-smoking campaign, the sales of cigarettes in South Korea increased by 1.1% year-on-year in 2022.
According to the data of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, South Korean smokers bought 3.63 billion packs of 20 cigarettes in 2022, up from 3.59 billion packs a year ago.
However, this figure is 16.8% lower than that in 2014. In January 2015, the government raised the price of cigarettes from 2500 won (US $2) per package by 80% to 4500 won to reduce smoking.
By 2022, the demand for traditional cigarettes will drop by 1.8% year on year, while the demand for heating non-burning tobacco products will rise by 21.3%.
