According to statistics, in July 2023, the import value of various vapes(including vape pens, vape pods, vape mods, etc) in South Korea was US$14.49 million. This value shows a year-on-year increase of 0.67%, and a month-on-month decrease of 17.58%.
In addition, the total vaping devices weight was 162.6 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.45%, and a month-on-month decrease of 8.45%.
Moreover, the average unit price was US$89.11 per kilogram, an increase of 2.15% year-on-year and a decrease of 9.98% month-on-month.

In July, China stands as the largest import source of vaping devices in South Korea, followed by Vietnam and Malaysia.
In July, South Korea’s largest importer of vaporizers was China, with an import value of US$8.46 million.
Firstly, China vape accounts for 58.41% of the total Korean vape import value. The total import weight of vapes from China is 116.3 tons. And the average import unit price of Chinese vape is US$72.77 per kilogram.
What’s more, the second largest importer of vapes in South Korea is Vietnam, with an import value of 5.31 million US dollars. Vietnam vapes accounting for 36.65% of the total import value. The total import weight of vapes from Vietnam is 38.3 tons. And an average import unit price of 138.64 US dollars per kilogram.
Moreover, the third largest importer is Malaysia, with an import value of 642,000 US dollars. The Malaysia vape accounts for 4.43% of the total import value of vapes in South Korea. That’s an import weight of 7.2 tons, and an average import unit price of 89.17 US dollars per kilogram.
Lastly, the vapes in South Korea import from other countries and regions only takes 0.51%.
