Russia vape news:According to the Russian Tass news agency on January 25, the Russian Federation Commission approved a law on raising the consumption tax on cigarettes and e-liquid. After March 1, 2023, the consumption tax rate of Russian ordinary cigarettes will increase by 2%, and the consumption tax rate of e-liquid and heating tobacco will increase by 11%. The consumption tax on vape sticks and tobacco heating devices has been abolished.
From March 1, 2023, the consumption tax of ordinary cigarettes will be:
From March 1 to December 31, 2023: 2603 rubles for 1000 pieces plus 16% of the estimated value of the maximum retail price, but not less than 3536 rubles.
From January 1 to December 31, 2024: 1000 pieces of 2707 rubles plus 16% of the estimated value of the maximum retail price, but not less than 3678 rubles.
From January 1 to December 31, 2025: 2815 rubles for 1000 pieces plus 16% of the estimated value of the maximum retail price, but not less than 3825 rubles.
The consumption tax of IQOS and other heated tobacco is:
From March 1 to December 31, 2023: 8669 rubles per kilogram;
From January 1 to December 31, 2024: 9016 rubles per kilogram;
From January 1 to December 31, 2025: 9377 rubles per kilogram.
About electronic cigarette oil:
From March 1 to December 31, 2023: 20 rubles per milliliter;
From January 1 to December 31, 2024: 21 rubles per milliliter;
From January 1 to December 31, 2025: 22 rubles per milliliter.
