A bill that aims to regulate the retail sales of vapes passed the legislative process in Missouri, USA.

Vape manufacturers who fail to comply will be subject to penalties. For example, suspension of the manufacturer’s license and fines.

The congressman says it is no surprise that children’s use of vaping products is a problem today. Children are easily tempted to buy these products because of the flavors they offer. Besides, the FDA has failed to set rules for vape manufacturers. Also, he says that the difficulty with the bill is finding simple common ground with manufacturers.
Rep. Lane Roberts, (R) Joplin says,
“But we’ve allowed those industries to develop to the point that now you’ve got businesses who rely on that income. They in return have employees who rely on their employers’ income. So, my struggle with that bill is to find that balance between how we get some control over this horrible industry. How do we prevent China from profiting from all of this – without inadvertently harming an industry where people aren’t necessarily intending to commit crimes.”
Currently, the bill is still under discussion in the House of Representatives.
