Recently, Salience Search Marketing, a British data marketing agency, released the latest annual report on the vape retail in UK market. The report analyzed 11 key performance indicators of 50 vape online platforms in the UK. These indicators include annual visibility, search volume trends and brand awareness. The data reveals the dominant platforms in the vape industry.

By analyzing the monthly search volume of each platform, Salience Search Marketing calculates the number of followers and engagement rate of each vape brand on major social platforms. According to these data, they form an “owned social score”, which counts the most famous online vape brands in UK.

The survey results show that Vape Club is the most well-known online platform for vapes in the UK.

With its strong social media presence, Vape Club has 41,661 followers, and 27,100 monthly brand searches. Therefore, Vape Club leads the market in brand awareness with a Social Score of 74.

KiK is the second most well-known vape brand in the vaping field with 40,500 monthly brand searches, 27,202 social followers, and a social score of 74.

What’s more, in terms of monthly brand searches, Vape Shop ranks first with 60,500 searches. KiK and Vape Club are the next, with 27,100 searches each month.

OI Aspire is the dominant vape brand on social media with a social score of 339. OI Aspire has 236,000 followers on major social platforms, of which Instagram accounts for 67%.

As far as visibility, the past year has been a challenging one for the vaping industry, with overall growth down 1%.

Electric Tobacconist gets the largest drop in visibility since June 2022, dropping 45%. In contrast, Smoko gets the most significant increase in visibility, with a year-over-year increase of 1,600%.

As the popularity of smoking continues to rise, vape brands must adjust their marketing strategies. The UK vape brands need to focus on performance metrics such as visibility and brand awareness.
